    Decent game

    Excellent for beginners and even good poker players. Also has other games like blackjack, darts, air hockey, etc. Only thing I didn't like was it took more time than necessary to move between casinos, but this isn't really a problem since once you're done in one casino (win the tournaments) you move to the next. I spent months playing this game constantly before I was able to win the final tournament, and even then, I enjoyed playing all the other types of poker, not just Texas Hold'Em. Fun and addictive!

    Great Entertainment and Practice Tool for Poker, etc

    This is a Poker Lover's/Card Player must have!!!! Game (I mean, the video game) is easy to understand and use. It has "practice" mode so you can "quick play" if you have only few minutes, and in addition to having many options from Texas Hold'em all the way to your typical 5 card poker or black jack, it does provide a tutorial for each game just in case you happen to have forgotten some rules or don't know the details about the specific games. Visual effects are pretty good for a video game this size, and the sound is good too, though as always you can change the sound settings if you need to. I play it on my daughter's DS everytime she's not using it and I need to kill a few minutes, as I love to play cards, but I only get to do that once a week with "the guys", and no one in the house ...

    If you want Poker, buy this one!

    My son and I loved playing World Series Poker on the Xbox, and were looking for a similar experience on the DS. I had read about some of the other casino games, but we wanted the 'career mode' we were used to playing with. There are a variety of great games on here as well. Although we haven't played a whole lot, due to time constraints, it is fun having to get a certain amount wof innings before walking into another casino, etc. Of course, there are some tricks as well. Very entertaining! This game is almost impossible to find in retail stores, atleast where we are, so I suggest grabbing on ebay for a great price like we did. It's well worth it!

    buying a poker game

    I bought world championship poker about two years ago for myself and played it all the time,my mom sold her home and moved in with me while trying to find a new one. she started playing my ds lite and thats all she does in her spare time now. she liked it so much that i bought her one we looked every where for this game, and could not find it. we bought a couple other poker games. they only had texas hold em and not any of the other poker games on them. will to make a long story short I decided to look on ebay, and with in a week she had the game she wanted. If you like different poker games this is for you. you will love it. its easy game to under stand and play. sandra

    Fun - not quite what I expected

    I really was looking for more of a video poker type game - this one has video poker but not Vegas style!! All the other games are table games and you play against people. It takes a while because everyone and there are 5 I believe have to bet, then check, then anti again then fold etc....On the video poker you can only play one game - and only bet 3. It is entertaining - just not exactly what I wanted. I think it is hard to find games that are for adults for this product. I have all the brain age games - that is why I bought this program. If you are looking for the Vegas style poker as on the video poker machines - this one isn't it. But, if you like the table games you might really enjoy this product.
