    Glad I found these again!

    I bought my first one of these over 20 years ago. Finally broke down and bought a new helmet. Couldn't find the quick release in any local shop. Glad I found them on eBay. Ready to install, easy to use. The only thing I added was a little leather sleeve I made to keep the floppy end of the strap contained. Highly recommended!

    functional but not recommended

    While the materials and the construction of this buckle are all they should be, the design is not so great. The thinness of the metal fork and its mating receptor makes alignment rather difficult. As one must latch such a device by touch alone, size does matter. Latching this device is not easy with bare hands, but with gloves on it is so much worse that I have found it necessary to remove the gloves to accomplish the task. Of course, being able to attach and remove the helmet with gloved hands was the reason for the purchase, so I do not think that it is a good value, nor do recommend its purchase. In fact, I find it faster to use the strap and D-rings with my bare hands than to fumble with trying to align this latch.

    Great inexpensive way to secure the helmet.

    These are a little tricky to get them to click in, but once you get the hang of lining the two ends, it is pretty easy. Much nicer than having to run the strap thru the D rings. Would be nice if these were like the older models, and included a black band to hold the excess strap in place.

    Holy snikey! I saw this in photos and thought "what a clever design. It should work perfectly". Was I fooling myself! When this contraption arrived earlier today I opened the package and was immediately impressed with the thorough and clear directions written and illustrated on the front and back of the very attractive, eye- catching packaging. It took me literally under five minutes to hook this up to the strap of my motorcycle helmet. It fit the 1" wide strap perfectly and I started to get really excited at my find. I envisioned countless rides as I don my half helmet and cinch up my chin strap in one quick motion. No more having to shove the strap through my D rings, pulling the nylon tight as I try to find just the right position. As I placed my helmet on my dome, I grabbed the right ...
