O Canada!
Cedar and wild cherry are not common guitar woods, except for Godin guitars. I wanted to judge for myself (and to expand my collection.) The guitar is relatively heavy; perhaps the heft contributes to its strong clear voice. The neck is easy to get around on. I don't have the talent to get all that it has to offer, but I like what I get. I didn't want, and don't appreciate, the ornamentation that someone stuck on it, but if that's why I got such a deal on it, then that's okay. I can't see it while I'm playing it. Best bang for the buck!
I had no idea what these were. Never heard of the brand, never saw one at a local store. Well, until a few years ago. And I didn't actually see it, it was just one of many on a huge wall of acoustics. It was only after I was horribly disappointed by every single sub-$800 guitar I tried...that the employee said to play this one. Like many people often do, I was only trying models from manufacturers I knew well, and ignoring all the cheapy Chinese models and no-name guitars. The guy was smiling in that way someone does when they already know what your reaction is going to be before you even try it. And he was right. Nothing, and I mean nothing that they had in this price range sounded anything like the 4 different Seagull models I tried, and they had a massive amount of acoustics to choose ... He said something along the lines of "These are like buying an American-made guitar, but at Chinese prices". And after all, these ARE American made guitars....well, North-American. Apparently they are made in the same Canadian factory which produces the Godin brand too. And furthermore, these solid-top guitars are roughly the same price point as many laminate top guitars, so they will only sound better with age. "Best bang for the buck", is something he also said. Now, to be fair, I got to hear even better guitars at that store, but they were nowhere near the price of the Seagull models. Not even close. For for most people like me, paying over 2 grand for a guitar is excessive. I didn't end up buying the Seagull, and splurged a bit on something else. But if I had stuck to my original budget, there would not have been any debate, it definitely would have been one of the Seagull models I tried. Which one though....that would have been a debate.

I was and am very satisfied, with this product. It was a Christmas present, for my girlfriend, and if I can remember correctly, I believe it was delivered in less than a week. This "mini" size is a perfect fit for her small form. We both loved the rustic look, because it's not the ordinary light wood. The only thing I didn't take literally is that it came in a box. I got thrown off, when it actually arrived in a box and not a case. I'm not a guitar expert though, so I left it at that.I was and am very satisfied, with this product. Small price increase to much better instrument
Not a blueridge parlor. Nowhere for the money are they even camper able fit and finish typical of this price range. Spend the money and step way up to a blueridge br-341,361,371. Best china has to offer. Aaa spruce top, rosewood, ebony and pearl/tortase shell with harringbone per fling. How can you go wrong. Bone and mahogany. All solid wood .
