Product Information

Writer-director Conor McMahon attempts a one-man Irish horror movie revival with his genuinely frightening and purposely hilarious low-budget zombie film DEAD MEAT. While driving through the rural Irish countryside, Spanish tourists Helena (Marian Araujo) and Martin (David Ryan) literally stumble upon a legion of flesh-eating zombies created by a mutated strain of mad-cow disease. It isn't long before Martin himself succumbs to zombification, leaving Helena to partner with local gravedigger Desmond (David Mallard) to fight off the army of undead with creatively zany techniques involving everything from shovels to vacuum cleaners. Balancing dark humor with moody atmospherics and ample doses of gore, DEAD MEAT deftly straddles the line between the self-conscious parody of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and the serious horror traditions of George Romero and Sam Raimi for a good old-fashioned zombie flick destined to become an instant cult classic.

    A Zombie Cow ?

    This was a good movie, but it may not be for everyone.It seems that the "mad cow disease" is to blame for the zombies this time. And Yes there are Zombie Cows in this movie. The character development is very low in this film but the film has very nice camera work and gore effects. The story starts as a couple is driving down some Irish backroad and they hit a pedestrian who just happens to be a zombie.This film is pretty gory,but the storyline is kind of weak, but all in all i had fun watching the movie. Where else you going to see a Zombie Cow?

    Truly Creepy and Scary

    This one caught me by surprise. I am so used to seeing truly bad zombie films that I do not get my hopes up anymore. So when I watched this Irish zombie movie I was blown away by how scary it was. A mad cow like disease has not only killed people and livestock it has made them come back from the dead. What I found made this movie work was the low budget look and the lack of light in the night scenes. They are in the countryside so when it gets dark it is really dark. That feeling that you don't know what is out there, what could be right next to you. Highly recommended to all horror fans!

    Well worth the addition to the library

    I was very impressed and suprised with this film. I didnt expect much, but I really enjoyed the show. It was silly enough to keep it entertaining, But very well acted by the two lead actors. A must for collectors of the genre!

    Cows, zombies, and lot's of great humor!

    Dead Meat is another great slapstick zombie film to come out........... You have killer cows, zombies, people running for their lives what else can you ask for.
