Emotional perfection - once viewed never forgotten. A must.
I first saw this movie as part of a Rob Reiner movie themed week many years ago during my Univeristy days, I had never seen nor heard of it before, but it's safe to say I'll never forget it now. A wonderful film, funny, emotional, poignant, a true masterpiece. I still remember the end of the plot hitting me for the first time, it looses it's impact once you know what happens but you will be blown away the first time you see it. Featuring a hugely talented cast of young actors. who perform as one group, bringing back those schools days that we all thought we had had, but probably didn't. Based on a Stephen King novella (yes surprised me too) the film is a real roller-coaster with a magical sound track, the story line is simple, but it's what happens and the characters that make it what ... The Blu-ray transfer is fantastic, clean crisp colours, sharp video performance and high quality sound, this version has lots of features including commentary but to be honest I want to enjoy the film and think about it my way. I don't want to really talk about the story or give anything away, except I really, really recommend you watch this film, close the curtains, turn down the lights and settle back and enjoy.

Saw this on VHS-video in the 80's and i really liked it ! Bought it for my brother and his sons (now 29 and 33 years old) as christmas-gifts. Hope they like it as much as i did !
