This Japanese import features enough creepy body horror to please any David Cronenberg fan. MEATBALL MACHINE begins as a romance between two factory workers, but their love affair isn't interrupted by any of the usual suspects such as infidelity or a fight. Instead, an alien invasion threatens the couple's love, as parasites begin taking over human bodies in the most grotesque of ways. Directors Yudai Yamaguchi and Junichi Yamamoto up the gore ante by taking the squirming audience into the bodies of the infected.

    Why haven't we seen more films like this?

    Meatball machine is a Japanese sci-fi film in the style of films such as Tetsuo the iron man, Tokyo gore police and Machine girl. If you like lots of bloodshed but also like films that have that unique something to them, you're gonna like Meatball machine. The film is mainly about parasitic creatures from space that use humans as hosts. Once a parasite latches onto a human, it mutates them into a bio-mechanical monster called a "Necroborg". The parasites them use the Necroborgs to do battle with eachother using weapons that are mutated from the host's body. Overall, the film is pretty good. It features lots of cool fight scenes, interesting characters as well as uniquely awesome creature designs and lot's of bloodshed.
