Unfortunately this seller has practiced deceptive and false selling. Even though the SSD drives are listed as Open Box, they arrived with scratches, pen marking and hardened white powder on the connector. These drives clearly violate Ebay specification for opened box. I have never left a negative feedback. But the success of Ebay platform depends on good faith and integrity from both sellers and buyers. In this case, the seller show no integrity even toward a repeated customer.

Hello friend Please take a clear look. This is the original unboxing, and it was rigorously tested before shipment without any usage issues. After testing, it was randomly shipped and now there are no usage issues. You contacted me more than a month after signing for the goods to rectify the issue. I don't quite understand. If you don't want the goods anymore, you can mail them back instead of maliciously threatening me to refund you and leave a malicious negative review.

You are correct that I contacted you late. My project was delayed. Thus I didn't opened the drives until recently. Since I bought from you once before, I thought there was trust already. That was my mistake for trusting you. You didn't answer one question. Why do the drives have hardened white powder on the connector? Electronic components in an opened box condition should never have that powder. Where did that powder come from?

    Great case to repurpose laptop drives.

    Love being able to see the actual drive. Great case if you have any old laptops that use SATA drives that you can use as a pocket drive, media drive for a Smart TV or access files from a laptop that stopped working but the drive still works or to test drives to see if they still work.

    HERE'S HOW TO OPEN IT.

    Squeeze the two halves together with your thumb and forefinger on the circuit board end about an inch away from the case end. You will hear a pop and the case halves can be slid apart. Install the harddrive and slide the halves back together. It will be hard to get the slide guides to fit to each other so be patient. It will also be difficult to slide back together. NOTE: AFTER THE HARDDRIVE IS INSTALLED AND THE HALVES ARE LOCKED BACK TOGETHER, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RE RELEASE THE HALVES WITHOUT DAMAGING THE CASE. That being said, I recommend the use of the case as extra protection of an external harddrive.

    A bit tricky to get apart and get the drive in but after that it is smooth sailing

    SSD fits right in seemed a bit hard to open and seemed a bit hard to get the drive into place but after that it works perfect .Pretty fast also almost as fast as going sata inside the computer with usb3 I have put around 650 GB on it with no problems .A blue led tells you it has power and flickers with data transfer. Pretty simple just plug it into USB3 or will work on USB2 but slower as expected .Nice has a special cable but only uses 1 USB port . makes a great jump drive .

    It does the job for which it's intended. I must add, however, that while this doesn't diminish the value of this iterm, it is rather difficult to open. It requires use of a knife blade and some effort to open it.
