Very easy transaction. Unfortunately, though, when the item arrived it didn't quite meet the criteria for "Very Good" condition, as stated in the listing. The outer box as well as every one of the cases and liners inside showed various levels of damage as shown in my pictures. The discs themselves appear to be fine and for $5 it's hard to complain, but I might have considered other listings for the item if I knew the actual condition.

Took 14 days to get here. When received it in tight packaging, was careful getting it out so wouldn't rip it but the cover was already ripped in a way I wouldn't have been able to rip it. But overall, book is in great shape, just weird it took so long to get here. No seller communication...I have not reached out, book was at a fair price.

  • I was sorry to see this story end. I really loved it!

I didn't know what to expect with this book and I had forgotten why I got in the first place. I was a little concerned about the accent (it is an audiobook), but that was no problem. It turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. I literally hung on every word. I listened in the car and I only take short trips so it took me a couple of weeks to finish, but I didn't want to finish! There is never a dull moment in this story. I don't want to give any of it away so I have to hold back in what I say. I can safely say, "I loved it and I am sure most of you will too!" Yann Martel certainly has a way with words!

  • great just buy it

A contender for The Greatest Story Ever Told, at least for contemporary works. As one critic aptly put it - "It's difficult to stop reading when the pages run out". So instead, you'll go back to the beginning and read it all over again. If you have already read this book, you'll know what I mean. If you haven't, just buy it. It's that simple. This is story-telling at its most fulfilling, and might remind you of the tales that filled you with wonder when you were a child. Chances are you will read the last page and be left with a Big Question.......but I dare not reveal what that question is just here. Oh no. Just read it, and you'll ask yourself what I did. What I would say, however, is that although I don't know the answer, I'm smiling anyway......

  • Great Story!

Winner of the prestigious British Booker Prize in 2002, this book tells the story of a boy named Patel and his adventure of being lost at sea for many months. Patel is stranded in a boat along with a tiger, zebra, and hyena. This is storytelling at its best! The first few chapters are relatively slow-moving, but this is necessary for character development and the plot background. A very fun, yet intelligent book that you will enjoy!
