"College Hoops 2K8" uses energetic crowds to influence the on-court action with the new 6th man meter, which increases with each successful shot and key play on defense. The new All-American training challenge features 14 passing, shooting, and defensive drills played against former college hoops stars, including cover athlete Greg Oden, formally of the Ohio State Buckeyes. This Xbox 360 version introduces a feature called PlayVision in which icons show precisely where athletes need to be to execute each step of the process from passing to positioning. The game includes 90 classic teams with 15 all-time schools and six all-time conference schools in addition to the hundreds of college basketball teams found in the previous version of the game. This adds up to over 328 Division 1 schools, complete with authentic jerseys."College Hoops 2K8" had a release date of November 19, 2007, by Visual Concepts and 2K Sports for the Xbox 360 system. Fun features include the calling of plays on the fly, authentic and detailed arenas, new skill moves, and other improved and enhanced gameplay additions. One of the greatest improvements this year was the ability to change and modify your rosters. After you have them customized, you can share them with other online game fanatics with the new 2K Share Feature. This means you can take your games with you on the road, while you're mobile, and stay in contact with all your gamer friends and your team's stats.In fact, make it a gaming goal to check off each one of the 33 "College Hoops 2K8" achievements for basketball sports fans, including winning Championship games, online gaming ranked wins, goals for the All-American training challenge, and creating and saving a custom playbook. You can also switch between quick games and other exciting modes. For example, when you are playing in Legacy mode, you can choose to go Open or Career Legacy. In the Open play, you can choose any school to begin your quest for unforgettable greatness, while in the Career stage you can choose from lowly rated schools and turn them into legends. One of the unique features of choosing Legacy in the 2K8 version is that it allows you to track High School and Junior College players and recruit them to play for your custom team. This is one of the college sports team games that is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB or Entertainment Software Rating Board. The 2K8 video game is perfect for all ages of fans.     Great College Hoops Game

    The best college hoops game period. The arenas, the student fans, the atmosphere, the presentation, even the gameplay make this game amazing to revisit after all these years. They need to find a way to get the license to make an up to date one for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. 2K knew how to make college hoops just right. Even after all these years the gameplay is still pretty good. Well worth picking this up!

    Good Graphics, and after awhile addicting

    This game only deserves a 4 out of 5 stars because of its lack of great game play One of the great things about this game is the game play, it is smooth, exciting, and realistic. Unlike past years, you actually have to fight your way to win, exercising your true skill. The coaching abilities are also great. At half time you get a set of notes that you can use to help improve your game. In Legacy mode the recruiting is state of the art, and fun to use. There are also weekly tv reports that make the game even more realistic. With a half time report and post game show there is much potential for this to be the best NCAA b-ball game this year. The only bad things about this game are the thousands of turnovers that happen in a game, and the shots that are missed when they shouldn't be. Other ...

    College Hoops 2K8 (XBOX 360)

    This game is flat out the best college basketball game available. EA sports just can't cut it when it comes to basketball the way 2K sports can. Initially, I was waiting for College Hoops 2K9 to be released, but when I read that EA Sports bought NCAA rights, I was severley dissappointed and immediately went in search for 2K8. Game Play is smooth, no glitches, realistic player movement and reaction. Deep fantasy career mode, true to life team rankings, and hundreds of alternate game options, from tourneys, drills, and seasons, all the way to create a play, player, chant, or school. Well worth the purchase!

    Too bad 2K discontinued the College Hoops series.

    I'm a huge NCAA Basketball fan and it's so much better and way more exciting than the NBA. College Hoops 2K8 was the last version 2K Sports will be making for college basketball and it's a shame because the series just kept getting better. 2K8 is very addicting, especially with the 2K Share option where you can download updated rosters and other files. The new NCAA Basketball series by EA Sports began this year and their beginning title is nowhere near as good as College Hoops 2K8. The graphics may be a little better than 2K's offering, but the gameplay is world's ahead on the 2K side. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because 2K could have done a little better on the graphics (especially the players faces) and a couple minor glitches in the game, but they aren't really anything to ...

    College Hoops Apex

    If you’re a college basketball fan then this game is the pinnacle of gaming (partly because this was the last one—ever). The student sections come to life and every last particular + unique feature of the campus arenas is captured. The legacy mode is incredible as it captures the realism of recruiting battles and the process of a coach’s growth. The best.
