    Document of the Dead (DVD, 1999, Special Edition)

    Great documentary on the work of zombie horror maestro George A. Romero, shot while the film "Dawn of the Dead" was being made. It includes interesting behind the scenes work, and some special effects tips from Tom Savini who has some good interview space (also good selection of interviews with director Romero and cast members through the whole movie). The documentary expands also in time until the making of "Two Evil Eyes" and includes scenes from other of his films. Apart from the film itself there's a good selection of extras included.

    document of the dead doc.

    this is a fantastic classic documentary on the director george a. romero. its shot during 1978 when Dawn was being shot and is very fascinating view of the whole production. there are great interviews with the cast and producers. a lot of never before seen hard to find footage from the set. Tom Savini also has a lot of great interview time. A must for any romero and savini fan. This doc is about an hour and twenty minutes and i didn't want it to end. An A+......
