This seller is exceptional! This is the second item I have purchased from them and both have been accurately described, very well-packed, and quickly shipped, arriving in only 3 business days from Japan to Portland, OR, USA. In this case, I messaged the seller that I was looking for a rare item that was originally only available in Japan, and they found one in A+ condition and contacted me upon listing it. Thankfully, I was able to purchase and I am very satisfied. A++ service and experience!!!

BOSS brings the classic "Leslie" rotating speakers of yesteryear "down to size".

Great recreation of a classic and awe inspiring musical masterpiece. The Leslie rotating speaker systems of the 60's and 70's made my jaw drop and my ears and eyes stand there bewildered as they spun ( horns and subs in opposite directions, the speed controlled by a footswitch ) their way into my heart with their out of this world, cosmic, pulsating sound making your chords sound like whistling whooshing of air. They literally would make the hairs on your body quiver if you stood close enough to the big ones. I could only dream. But now Roland/Boss brings back a very, VERY impressive electronic recreation of these whirling wonders in the BOSS RT-20. The color they chose for this magical musical "double pedal" from the BOSS "20 series" is very fitting as it is worth it's weight in "GOLD". ...

  • Boss RT-20 and Hammond M-3 organ.

If you are looking for an alternative to buying a 122 or 147 Leslie, this pedal will work just fine. It is not a Leslie and will not create the "doppler effect," however, if you use two keyboard amps and place them at a 90 degree orientation the Leslie effect will become more noticeable. Now a word about the overdrive. The built in distortion works but there is now footswitch to control off and on. I use a Screaming Blues pedal in front of the RT-20. I suppose you could place it after, personal preferance, But more importantly you do not need a heavy metal, crunch type distortion. Just a slight amount of overdrive is all that is needed to simulate the tube amp of the Leslie. Also the virtual rotor(s) is nice and the contols for the increase and decrease in speed works perfectly! One ...

  • If you've had a Lesley you'll be impressed with this pedal

This is an awesome pedal and is the closest pedal I have found to a Lesley speaker system. The control of the speaker speed is excellent using the foot switch on the pedal but with the stereo boss expression pedal added it gets even better with real time control. It's built like a tank, small enough to not be intrusive but big enough to control with larger shoe sizes and the "goofy graphic display" turned out to be a fantastic indicator of the sub woofer and tweeter speeds and very accurate and easy to read. It costs more than others but blows them away. If you ever had a Lesley this is almost as good and way smaller and lighter. I surprised my band mates who were amazed at the sound and control this thing has. Don't expect the 4 selectable sound effects or the distortion to blow your ...

  • Authentic Leslie sounds in a cool stereo pedal.

I bought the Boss RT-20 because I wanted to have a Leslie rotating speaker effect. I'd seen a demo of one on YouTube and I also tried an example at the local Guitar Center. It absolutely nails the sounds that Dave Gilmour uses in Pink Floyd. It will exactly reproduce the shimmering sound of the intro to "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" especially of you run it in stereo. It can also nail some of The Cult's guitar sounds too. If you have only one amp, it's probably not worth buying - I would recommend getting a Boss CE-2 instead. I haven't completely explored all the options but it's one of these effects that you end up leaving on as it adds a subtle three-dimensional complexity to the sound. It is also very cool to look at with the rotating display.

  • Slightly muddy, but an overall superb value!

I'd been craving a rotary emulator for some time, and Boss is almost always the best combination of reasonable price and great quality. This pedal is no exception. The degree to which the player is given control over the tonal qualities of the "speaker" is everything I could ask for. The 4 models are all great, but I prefer numbers 2 and 4, the second Leslie and the Univibe. I would highly recommend pairing this with a compressor pedal. The one problem I've had with the RT-20 is that it tends to muddy up my tone, especially if I crank up the built-in overdrive. Speaking of which, aside from the muddiness issues, the overdrive is great, and very realistic. As someone who primarily prefers a natural, bluesy overdrive, cranking the OD all the way up and turning the slow rotor down to 0 ...
