The Backyardigans - Mission To Mars
I have a very active 2 1/2 yr old grand-daughter, but when the Backyardigans is put in our DVD player she is tranqualized by all the color, characters and great songs and music. The story line is easy to follow, there is nice humor and a lesson to be learned along the way. I approve of this fun and light entertainment for toddlers. Her older brothers watch too, but will not admit they like it as much as she does! There are always 3-4 episodes on each DVD. I like that each episode is 20 minutes. That is a great amount of time for this age group to pay attention. These episodes can also be switched to either English or French...who knows maybe a good assignment for your teenage french student to watch!!! We own about 12 of these DVDs and there is not one I have seen that I didn't ... My son and his young cousins love The Backyardigans since I each gave them The Backyardigans Pirate boat bath toy. Each episode contain different type of musics and game plot with each of the five characters take turn playing the main character or duo. The music for each episodes are "Kenyan Highlife", "Spaghetti Western", "Jump Blues", and "Django". My son have almost seen all episodes except the "Scare of You" episode since it never play on Nick Jr. plus the "Mission to Mars" been rarely seen.
