I'm was very pleased with this classic BH&G cookbook. The recipes are interesting and varied and certainly NOT dated. The book shows how to use leftovers or {planned overs} effectively. The recipes cover everything from good solid day to day dishes. To more elaborate ones for Holidays and/or company dinners. And there all good scratch cooking recipes, that don't rely on a lot of prepackaged or seldom used, expensive ingredients. A big bonus for those of us on a tight grocery budget!
