Simple Thermostat
The product did not come the same color as described. It was missing all of the screws and was the earliest generation Nest. This is not the learning Nest. It is a programmable device like any other thermostat. However, it is really easy to link to Google Home. Nest App is no longer needed.

Won’t work with Nest App!!!
Won’t work with Nest app. Have to use with google home app. I have existing thermostats and sensors that work with Nest App and I don’t want to change. Google Home wants to connect all smart devices in the home and I like using the separate Apps for the different devices I own. I don’t want to be forced into doing anything at this time! All I wanted to do was to be able to see and control the heat in my basement when not at home. Very disappointing after being so happily with the existing Nest products I own and use!!!Won’t work with Nest app. Have to use with google home app. I have existing thermostats and sensors that work with Nest App and I don’t want to change. Make sure you do the online automated compatibility test to see if you can use the Google Nest Thermostat with your system. 2. Also, go to your electric company's website. You may be able to GET THE Google Nest Thermostat FOR FREE or a greatly reduced price! It physically installs, well, just like your traditional thermostat. If you're not color blind and can use a screwdriver, you can do it. For daily, at home operation, you can set a schedule for the different seasons. Or, you can just walk up to it and make any changes and tweaks. Away - operate it from your phone. Easy! One surprising thing I really liked ... As someone who travels, sometimes with a variable schedule as to when I'll return, the Google Nest Thermostat has a temperature (vacation) hold but can be controlled remotely to make the adjustments so that the temperature is comfortable whenever I do get home. I did encounter 1 issue during set-up. You connect it to your Wi-Fi just like a cell phone, easy. But at 1 point it searched for updates and updated itself. That's when it got a little confused and glitchy. So I did a factory reset and started the technology set-up over again. Thereafter things went smoothly and it worked great! I highly recommend the Google Nest Thermostat!!!

great value for a Nest Product, only downside, I had to Use Google and not the nest login also when I open the Google home ap it shows me all my nest products but no temperature overview, that would have been better, On next when I open I see all and all temps, maybe not an issue for most but I have 6 thermostats, so kinda and issue

Good Thermostat
Nice to have the ability to change or adjust temperature from anywhere from your phone. However it doesn’t seem to follow the schedule of the day; it waits until I’m home to start cooling vs be comfortable when I have it scheduled to be. Fairly easy installation.
