    Good seller. The Fireplace cap got banged up in shipping. I needed to take the top cap off and bang it into shape with a hammer. Not the seller's fault but some bubble wrap inside the package might mitigate Fed Ex's rough handling. No one besides the birds and the satellites will ever see the dents or the hammering out of said dents. I recommend this seller for price and fast shipping.

    nice and rugged

    Have used the timberjack several times already moving 24plus diameter hickory logs 8 feet long, the timber jack handled the stress with no problem. Wish there was a quick pin on the rest bar, will make one myself so it will come off without a wrench, good tool

    Timber Jack use is limited

    For warm weather conditions, this can help to lift wood off the ground and out of undergrowth to cut, but in the cold, it is of limited help. The "spikes" will not penetrate the log and get a bite to lift the log plus the base is not very stable in snow. The recommendation I gave it is limited to the conditions you are cutting in and what you are expecting out of the Timber Jack. The jack also struggles with any larger diameter log. 2 1/2 stars and a OK recommendation pictures it better.

    Easy to store, and able to handle the work

    This timber Jack is easy to disassemble and store in a smaller space than I would have imagined, but also made very sturdy to handle the heavy work load.

    Doesn't work.

    Sadly, the product doesn't work as intended. The "hook" component is too small and doesn't grip the log. I will make my own hook that works and replace the stock component. Sad that a product isn't used before being manufactured and sold.
