- i***k (13)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI got this modem to replace my old Motorola SB6141 since Comcast upgraded our speed to 400 mbps and the old modem didn't have the necessary channels to handle the maximum downstream (it was topping out at about 280mbps). Comcast's other approved third-party modems were way more expensive. It was shipped perfectly. Setup and activation were a breeze. This modem was shockingly large coming from the old SB6141. We've had it for a week and it's been working great with no issues. Recommended!

But when I got the unit, I was disappointed tolearn that the the admin password on the unit could not be changed from the admin/admin default. That represents a security risk for my network despite the fact that interface is supposed to be read only . While I was impressed with the speedy shipment, I was not impressed with the unit, or rather the company’s implementation of its firmware.

Disappointing experience as seller performed with less than professional behavior. While item is in usable in condition received, do not recommend seller as communication was not timely or appropriate frequency. Received item was not in "new" appearance or condition. Buyer beware in any future transaction base on my experience. Grade of "D minus".

The one issue is that the items were shipped uncovered in bubblewrap, which is good for bumps and jostles, but I was scared potential electrostatic would kill the RAM. Luckily everything was fine, but a static free pouch would have offered some peace of mind.
