The Darkness 2007 classic
Prior to Darkness 2 (Darkness 2 lacks originality despite cartoon comic-ish graphics) Darkness still has its replay value even for a 2007 title. It is quite sad, compelling, and joyful at times when playing as good old Jackie. The game presents itself better with better gameplay (Powers) and choices (Side quests) unlike Darkness 2. It is still my all time favorite game in 2018 moving forward. Still a good game but darkness 2 does the superior job in terms of game play graphics and story telling. For its time the first is still a good precursor though.

The Darkness is based on the indie comics of the same name but you don't have to read the comics prior to playing this game. This game is its own beast and I guarantee you'll have a blast with it. While it does look like a game from 2007 it still plays great, worldbuilding immerses you and the attention to detail in many things is perfect. The sequel does things a bit better but also loses some of the first game's features and charm too. If you're a fan of FPS games with an interesting story then you'll enjoy The Darkness.The Darkness is based on the indie comics of the same name but you don't have to read the comics prior to playing this game. It's a average game. Nothing spectacular. But differs from the main stream. Requires strategic planning. Run and gun equals dying alot! Not sure if I'll play it for a second time. I had fun playing it and at the price I got it for... Worth it in my opinion!
