        Works as they say it will - I like it.

        I installed the 5" uncoupling track as part of a spur track, running off of track power. Mine came with the control button disconnected, and the manual could be a little clearer on how to connect it. I have Legacy control, so the track voltage is 18V - no problem uncoupling. Then I wired it for an auxiliary 14VAC power supply - this works just as well as 18VAC track power and reduced the chance for overheating. This requires a 6-12053 accessory power wire, which is not included. The 5" uncoupling track was pristine and shiny. The other 5" section had a lot of corrosion on it, and required about 45 minutes with a bright-boy to clean up (neither the Lionel track cleaner nor the Lionel track eraser had any effect on the corrosion.

        Great Action Accessory for Fat Track system

        All the Lionel Fast Track items are well built and look great. The function is state of the art for middle level model railroading. This accessory is needed for uncoupling action on your layout. Lot of fun with railroad car placing and uncoupling function. Enjoy

        works well, most of the time

        Needed this product to uncouple my new train set. However operation is a bit of a mixed bag . Sometimes it works-others no. Cars have to be in exact location for device to function correctly. Frequently ,especialyl if train is running, it does not. Would like to have found some instructions with device to explain proper operation.

        Works as advertised !

        Took a while to figure out how to connect the terminals correctly . The terminal for the center track was almost hidden but after searching carefully I found it and connected it . It now works great !
