    About this product

    Product Information

In SNES release, Skyblazer, you take on Ashura, the Lord of War, as Sky in order to rescue the kidnapped sorceress Ariana. You use your abilities to control natural forces and morph into animals, to save the world from the evil Ashura’s nefarious rule. Sky the Skyblazer has the special abilities of Comet Flash and Fiery Phoenix, among many other super powers. This helps you do battle against the subordinates of Ashura so you can pursue the Lord of War and do battle with him to save your world. This is a single player side scrolling game with plenty of action that takes a player through an assortment of enticing and exiting landscapes. The action includes plenty of opportunity to fight battles and solve brain teasing puzzles. This increasingly rare classic game has become a highly sought after collectible by game aficionados who enjoy vintage SNES and arcade games. This SNES game has 17 levels or stages in total, as well as several stops on the map where an elder gives out passwords to players and 10 bosses, as well as the final boss Raglan. Four of the bosses must be fought twice because they appear again immediately before Ashura does. Ashura appears before Raglan. A convenient overhead map makes it easy to jump between the levels and also allows movement back to already completed stages or levels. As Skyblazer, you are allowed to skip some levels but will have to forfeit some of the magic spells and the power ups that are obtainable through them. Most of the levels in this Super Nintendo game are side scrolling, but some of the action in a few of the levels involve flights. This is accomplished by either scrolling automatically or in Mode 7 where Sky the Skyblazer can gain extra lives by grabbing crystals. Be careful about touching spikes and falling because this will cause the player to exit the level. There are also waterways that can have their paths altered by using switches and rotating towers. Exciting game play awaits as the bosses use all sorts of tricks to try and defeat players, such as rotating and expanding all around the screen, or forming into rotating walls. This enjoyable Super Nintendo game features eight secondary attacks that are available beyond the basic kick and punch. These special attacks require magic power and can be replenished by using flasks of red liquid that come in small or large sizes. The magic green elixir will restore health, while the gems obtainable throughout the game grant the player an extra life once 100 of them have been collected. This game was first released in Japan as a platform game by Sony Imagesoft. It was released in early 1994 to be played on the Super Nintendo system. Interestingly the red blood featured in the Japanese release was re colored to green for Western releases. This is an engaging and enjoyable game that allows players to use their fighting and puzzle solving abilities, and there are many hours of fun play to be had with this popular classic game.
