    2006 O Scale Lionel Trains are fun to play with for 8 to 13 year olds

    Despite that I never owned a trainset myself, I only purchased good quality train sets as gifts for friends that have children. This was one of 3 I had purchased and gave as a gift. The construction on these 2006 and earlier is pretty durable and sturdy. This particular set is a good starter or beginning set for those wanting to get into the hobby. Unfortunately this hobby might be dwindling since most kids are exposed to Computers, Androids, Iphones, etc. and that is what is killing the hobby. Not sure How Lionel, Bachmann or any other electric toy train manufacturer is going to continue in this business in the changing times of what people do for fun or what entertains them. Other than that, Best train set! The newer ones are wireless and have different sayings which I do and do not ...
