    • The Summit of Scriptural Teaching.

Fantastic morning devotionals for each day of the year. Written almost 200 years ago by an English pastor/preacher. How he found time to write these, while preaching twice on Sunday and leading a congregation of 1,000 members for 50 years, taking time with each of his 4 children and wife, is unheard of in the 21st century. Each devotional talk is more like a sermon in today's churches. I have read through his Evening devotions for the past 2 years and they remain fresh and powerful, because they are filled with scriptural references to help explain God's Holy Word the Bible. Charles Spurgeon spoke very highly of William Jay the author of Morning Exercises.
