Das Sigma 70 mm - 300 mm F/4.0 - 5.6 APO DG Objektiv für Pentax ist ein Drehzoom, das einen Brennweiten- und Blendenbereich von jeweils 70 mm - 300 mm F/4.0 - 5.6 abdeckt. Das Sigma Kameraobjektiv für Pentax kann sowohl im Autofokus-, als auch im manuellen Betrieb verwendet werden. Durch seinen Brennweitenbereich von 200 mm bis 300 mm ist die Makrofotografie ab dem kleinsten Aufnahmeabstand von 150 cm möglich, wobei der optische Zoom mit einem Faktor von 1:4,3 vergrößert. In Makrostellung liegt dieser Vergrößerungsfaktor bei 2:1. Der. Das Sigma APO DG Objektiv hat eine Baulänge von 12 cm, die sich in maximaler Zoomstellung auf 19 cm verlängert, einen Objektivdurchmesser von 7,7 cm, wiegt dabei aber nur 530 g.Bei der Abbildungsqualität wird das Sigma Kameraobjektiv für Pentax Sigma hohen Ansprüchen gerecht. Dies resultiert besonders aus der apochromatischen Korrektur, die in den Glaselementen genutzt wird. Diese APO-Vergütung korrigiert Abbildungsfehler, die durch das unterschiedliche Brechungsverhalten verschiedenfarbigen Lichts entstehen, und sich als störende Farbsäume bemerkbar machen. Aufnahmen mit dem APO-Objektiv sind aus diesem Grund deutlich schärfer und brillanter, auch bei hohen Farbkontrasten. Weiterhin verfügt das Sigma APO DG Objektiv über die DG-Vergütung, die Reflexionen zwischen Bildsensor und der Hinterlinse unterdrückt. Diese Vergütung trägt in der Digitalfotografie zu einer weiteren Verbesserung der Bildqualität bei und lässt Geisterbilder verschwinden. Zudem ermöglicht sie die volle Ausleuchtung des zur Verfügung stehenden Sensorformats, ohne Abschattungen in den Sensorecken. Das Sigma Kameraobjektiv für Pentax bietet sich als praktische Allroundlösung für alle Aufnahmesituationen im Telebereich an. Die optional einstellbare Makrostellung im Brennweitenbereich 200 mm bis 300 mm erlaubt mit dem Sigma APO DG Objektiv zudem Ausflüge in die Welt der Nahfotografie. Der Fotograf ist mit diesem Objektiv für eine Vielzahl von Aufgabenstellungen im langen Brennweitenbereich gerüstet, ohne dass er bei der Bildqualität zu Kompromissen gezwungen wird.
