Seine Abmessung beträgt 8,4 x 7,4 cm, wobei das Tamron Kameraobjektiv 398 g wiegt und eine Filtergröße von 62 mm hat. Der Mindestscharfeinstellbereich beträgt 45 cm, der maximale Sichtwinkel 75,5 Grad und der Mindestbetrachtungswinkel 8 Grad. Im Tamron A14 LD Di-II XR asphärisches IF Objektiv mit Brennweiten und Blenden von 18 mm - 200 mm F/3.5 - 6.3 sind 15 Linsenelemente in 13 Gruppen, sowie sieben Blendenlamellen verbaut. Bei diesem Tamron Kameraobjektiv für Nikon handelt es sich um ein Drehzoom-Objektiv. Der Vorteil eines Drehzoom-Objektivs ist die Beibehaltung seiner Baulänge. Ein Verstellen der Brennweite kann durch Drücken eines Knopfes am Objektiv verhindert werden. Das Tamron A14 LD Di-II XR asphärisches IF Objektiv besitzt eine Innenfokussierung, was verhindert, dass sich die Frontlinse dreht. Dadurch können an der Frontlinse Spezialfilter, wie zum Beispiel Zirkular-Polfilter, angebracht werden. Das Tamron Kameraobjektiv für Nikon besticht durch eine hervorragende Vergütung der Linsen, die für einen hohen Kontrast und eine sehr gute Farbtreue sorgt.
