    About this product

    Product Information

This fresh installment in the award-winning Fire Emblem franchise was praised after its 2005 release date, both for intuitive gameplay and an intense storyline that champion the fight for the forces of good and the people of the world. This Nintendo property returns once more for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo Game Boy SP systems. The fate of the continent of Magvel is in your hands as you battle forces human and monstrous to rescue its five sacred stones and bring back peace to its citizens. The plot begins when the peaceful nation of Renais is attacked by its neighboring country, Grado. As the kingdom falls, the prince and princess flee, escaping to amass an army and save their land.Playing as twin royals, Princess Eirika and Prince Ephraim, players engage in classic Fire Emblem roleplay featuring tactical, turn-based combat. Throughout the course of the storyline, players will visit every nation on the continent, from Carcino to Rausten to Valni and beyond, all the while recruiting characters from each country. The game is sectioned by chapter and features an expansive host of warriors that can be both leveled up and evolved by exposing them to their chosen emblem. At a certain point in the plot, the storyline splits with one section following Ephraim while another follows Eirika. This gives the game replay value, ensuring that both paths are essential to understanding the full breadth of their adventure. Although Ephraim and Eirika's stories differ from chapter to chapter, their searches for weapons and warriors take them on romps through different sections of the world map, and you don't miss out on anything by choosing one over the other.Technically the eighth of nine games in the series in Japan, "Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones" for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance was only the second title released in North America and features a standalone plot. A knockout success, "The Sacred Stones" resulted in the addition of many Fire Emblem characters in other parts of the western hemisphere: "Super Smash Brothers," the award-winning Nintendo franchise, now features several Fire Emblem characters among its host of playable fighters. An epic adventure with several chapters of gameplay, it advances the world of Magvel for the die-hard fan while also offering complex and entertaining battles for all ages and styles of players who like strategy-based action games. The map is easy to maneuver, and the gaiden-style combat is easy and fun. Featuring only mild cartoon violence, this game is rated E for everyone. The fun isn't over when the world is saved. You can access expansive endgame dungeons like the Lagdou Tower that add another chapter to the adventure, bringing the player face to face with monsters and more than one mighty dragon. These dungeons are rewarded with special bonus characters not attainable through the main storyline, from the kings of the various nations to the boss of the game himself.

        Sacred Stones Review

TL;DR it offers great replayability, many ways to play, and is a fun game, but story, length, and roster size (though the characters are very compelling, especially the villain) are not its strong suits. Sacred Stones is an amazing starting point in the Fire Emblem Franchise. It's by no means the best game, but it definitely has the most accessibility. With intensely different difficulty settings, branching paths, branching promotions, and an open world map, it offers a wide variety of playstyles and replayability. There are so many ways to tackle the game that it's easy to play how you want. You can challenge yourself with Hard Mode and some self-imposed challenges, or you can play on easy and grind all you want. It has a decent story, but it's a fairly short game, and has a small roster ...

        Poor quality. Unhappy

I recently played this game and during battles there are a bunch of x's where there should be grass, the game randomly went black so I couldn't play and when I shut off my Gameboy and brought it back up my game data wasn't saved and I saved multiple times. I am very unhappy with this game.

      • Game does not save.

Said it was in "great" condition. To me, great condition means being fully functional, *INCLUDING* the ability to save progress, which is standard in almost every game ever created. Very disappointing that the item was falsely represented.

      • Sacred stones is one of the best entries in the series

It’s second only to PoR and RD, and awakening. Really compelling story, good post game, epic animations. Really good game in my humble opinion

Product was in excellent condition and works very well. Never played through Sacred Stones yet, but booting it up I was already hooked. As a Fire Emblem veteran/fan of 12-13 years now this was an exciting moment to finally adding Sacred Stones to my collection.
