        Great ole kit from the golden age of plastic modeling.

        I was excited and happy to see this old kit re-issued by ATLANTIS models after all these years. I am a child product of the early years of plastic model building in the early 50's and love the old kits for what they were and what the brought forth over the years till now. While by standards of today, this little kit first issued by REVELL in 1955-56, is not a computer designed model, it has brought fort a big smile on my face. Delighted to build it after 65 years, happiness!!

        A nice trip down "memory's runway!"

        A plastic kit "blast from the past!" Admittedly, this old Revell Convair B-36 "Peacemaker" model, now made by Atlantis Models, is a "fit the box" oddball 1/184 scale and somewhat pales in comparison in detail to, say, the Hobbycraft B-36 in the more common 1/144 scale. Still, for those of us who built this kit in our youth, it's is a nostalgic trip back in time when we often "slapped" plastic kits together with overuse of glue and little or no parts painting. Now, given our much better modeling skills, we can turn this B-36 into a really nice build deserving a prominent display on its stand after completion.

        I've been looking for this model for some time. The ORIGINAL one done by Monogram has become too expensive. This is basically the same model and at a MUCH More affordable price! I am looking forward to building it! :D

        Brings back memories!

        I had a similar model when I was a kid....this kit brought back happy memories of the Christmas morning when I unwrapped it! Now that I'm retired, I'm trying to find and collect the models I had growing up.....great fun!!
