      GE Water Filtration System

      Thought it was a decent item. Seemed to work fine. Simple design and decent set-up. Some of the unit was a little bit difficult to assemble due to being a little flimsy, but once together it worked well...until the compression fittings blew off of 2 out of 3 systems installed (I won't install the 3rd as a result until I buy aftermarket upgrades). Does it operate as designed? So far. UPDATE (5/7/19): needs to be seriously modified to work properly. Will it continue to operate? I hope so. UPDATE (5/7/19): flimsy compression fittings blow off...I suggest buying after market replacements. Will it last? Only time will tell. UPDATE (5/7/19): needed to be upgraded and fitted with better fittings I've seen good to excellent reviews so far. This one will add to it positively as well. UPDATE ...

      Will Cost you over 300.00 per year-

      This GE water filter only lasts 1 maybe 2 months and it's only my wife and I- so you will end up paying over 300.00 per year . I know what I'm talking about as I been using this product for over 5 years. Inddition, it's not a very good filter when it does work -I hope someone starts a class action lawsuit

      Very Expensive Replacement Filters!

      It is as good as the other similar system on the market but the replacement filters are extremely high priced. An entire system costs from $20 to $35, while the filter alone is priced at about $40 to $45 on average. If you need spare filters, just buy entire systems, use the filter and throw the rest away. That way, the filters are more reasonably priced.
