        Looks good have not played yet . Wanted a copy of movie since have cd of music from movie. I studied Berber language at university of Michigan Ann Arbor grad 1970-1971 Ma and Ba in anthropology near east studies and other stuff. Language and music in parts of movie is Berber . A nationality that was all over North Africa.

        A great movie

        A very good movie. I have always liked Sean Connery, and was wonderful in this role. It's one of few movies where a kidnapper isn't a deranged maniac and is easy to be on his side. There are 2 kids in this movie, so I wouldn't have to hide this movie from children.

        A look at yesterdays Africa & Middle East

        To me, this was more of a historic film made (40) years ago, and depicting the period of teddy Roosevelt's "Manifest Destiny" (illegally invading Sovereign Countries). Moreover it shows vividly a dysfunctional Washington surrounding a poser President, aided in his posing portrayal to the American Public by a controlled Media. In addition, the voting public took on the image of childish naivety. (tribal way of life with the Arabs still is valid in their societies in todays Middle East & Africa.

        Great acting

        Sean Connery and Brian Keith are fantastic as antagonists. Candice Bergen plays her part well, and exhibits wonderful horse(women) ship. Probably the most underrated movie Connery ever acted in. Brian Keith plays a most wonderful Teddy Roosevelt.
