        Early B& W John Wayne action adventure romance western.

        funny with lots of plots twists and turns you usually don't see in see in simple B & W westerns of the period. One of John Wayne's first leading roles; back when he was thin.

        Impressive picture and sound for a DVD of a movie that's about 80 years old. John Wayne is surprisingly young and slim, but also more comfortable in his acting than he was in STAGECOACH.

        Great quintessential John Wayne Western of the 1940s! Several of the Wayne stock company in support. The lovely Ella Raines as the headstrong ranch owner. And Gabby Hayes at his best over-the-top "Gabby Hayesiest"! Great fun entertainment.
