    About this product

    Product Information

'It all happened so quickly. One minute I was squatting on the bare earth, preoccupied with popping pea pods. The next, I saw the flash of a black hand and white cloth, and before I even had a chance to cry out it had sailed towards my face, and completely covered it ...' In 1954, in a remote South American village, a four-year-old girl was abducted and then abandoned deep in the Colombian rainforest. So begins the incredible true story of Marina Chapman, who went on to spend several years alone in the jungle, her only family a troop of capuchin monkeys. Using instinct to guide her, she copied everything they did and soon learned to fend for herself. At around ten years old, a completely feral Marina was returned to civilisation by hunters, who sold her to a brothel. After being enslaved and beaten daily, she escaped - to live the perilous existence of a Colombian city street kid. Marina's life as a wild child wasn't over. In some ways, it had only just begun. This is her astonishing story.

I've bought hundreds of books from goldstonebooksuk in just the last few weeks alone, because of the amazing discounts on the books for multiple-book purchases (the more books you buy, the higher the discount, all the way up to 50%!). The books have always lived up to the description, or better than described. All well-packed, with super-quick delivery. Exceptional support whenever I've contacted them. Awesome seller.

Book was delivered - it took a bit longer than what was shown on the listing, but it was okay for international delivery (3 weeks). Condition of book was very good but there was a large fold in the cover. Note that the book was sent in a plastic bag so the corners got a bit rounded on its travels. That said, the rest of the book was in good condition. Overall cost of book and delivery was very good. Sellers communication also on point. Thank you.

Thank you so much, the seller Goldstone Books for your historically amazing services. Never fails of book losses, all unconditional shipping, secured mailings, provided tracking, speedy global shipping, good prices, well cared packages, and responsibility or immediate response to any inquiries, and hard work to inform me of the shipped books. Many thanks, Arabella
