      Well packed, quickly shipped, and another seller who doesn't understand what eBay's definition of "Used" actually says. The eBay definition of "Used" includes the phrase "but is fully operational and functions as intended". This item is neither operational nor functional and should have been described as "For Parts or Repair". The meter movement is seriously messed up internally. However, the wooden case is in very good condition so it's worth the price.

      Comp 787 retainers interesting option cheak fitment

      I bought these retainers to use in conjunction with GM beehive valve springs (GM 12625033) from the Gen III LS9 engine on a couple sets of aftermarket aluminum heads i was building. Spec installed height for LS9 springs is 1.80". The information from Comp is these retainers will yield a 1.80'' installed height. Comp does not state on which head this installed height will occur nor if standard length valves are compatible so no one can say their specification is incorrect. I can tell you this; On a Chevy Vortec head for example these retainers install at 1.750'' losing 0.050'' of the LS9 springs lift capability. Stock Chevy Vortec springs normally coil bind at 0.520'' lift so with a 0.050'' safety margin you can run about 0.470'' lift. If you do the math a Comp 787 will allow a beehive ...
