        Gamers delight!

I love this mouse, the programmable buttons are a great asset to gamers and possible cad programmers, etc. Currently, I am setting up my mouse for playing EVE online. A space-based game with a lot of hotkeys. This mouse will allow me to rely less on my ability to type fast and more on a single button press. The only drawback I have found is the way my hand rests on the mouse. I would like to see a wing-style thumb rest below the programmable buttons and the mouse to have a gentle curve to the right. ( ergonomically designed ) Considering the programmable button location might consider shifting half of them to the right side. All in all, it is a great value for a gamer etc.

great mouse, but this one was defective

ive owned a couple of the g600 mouses, but ive never had one with the issues this one has. I was a bit skeptic when I took it out the box and the cord was already fraying and being bent at about a 90 degree angle. So i had to cut some slack on it to prevent damage to the mouse [cables bent for too long can cause serious issues]. I was fine with the frayed cable cord tho, it was only cosmetic. The mouse came pre programmed with some awful settings, it took about 30 mins to redo them all, but then it was fine up until the biggest flaw was noticed. The sensor on the mouse, even if the mouse isnt being moved, occaisionally spazzes out and causes your cursor to jerk to the opposite sides of the monitor. Playing games like CSGO make this mouse almost useless. Ive lost many rounds because of it. ...

      • Great multi-purpose mouse, requires getting used too.

Its a great mouse for gaming. It was designed for MMO's but the DPI Settings & factory response times make it an ideal multi-purpose tool. The only con I can say is that ypeople buying this mouse will require a little adaptation for the Macros, as far as I can tell, theres no way to disable them, so people who claw their mouse during FPS game play may find themselves accidentally squeezing the macros too hard, resulting in them [accidentally] switching weapons in game, which may potentially cost you the match.

      • It's a whole new experience

I've done some research before getting myself a gaming mouse, and I should tell that g600 is everything you can read online about it and more. At first, It seemed uncomfortable and weird and made my hand hurt on the first day, but as I became more used to it I found a more comfortable and relaxed hand position and all buttons are in reach for fast reaction. Software that comes along with the mouse has limitless possibilities: you can create up to 3 profiles for every game, 3 profiles to rule them all, or just 1 profile and stick to it, your choice. If you need any macros, there is a possibility for that as well. The mouse itself seems light enough not to toll on the hand but heavy enough to actually feel that you're holding it, and you can feel when every button is actually pressed, so ...

      • Good value, lot of features

Not bad for a $30 mouse, has 16 left side buttons, 3 clickable surfaces and 2 more buttons behind the scroll wheel. Is a bit blocky and large but its not terribly uncomfortable. Reaching the top 4 buttons will take some practice, also these side buttons seems to correspond to the num pad on a keyboard, need NUM LOCK ON to use for some games.
