Very Mediocre
I’m probably in the minority, but this movie did nothing for me. The character acting is weak and there was nothing there to draw me in. Although there was nothing actually wrong with the battle scenes, (and believe me, there are plenty of battle scenes) there was nothing new that we haven’t seen before; ie: Braveheart, Troy, Gladiator, etc. The music was fair but nothing compared to the score of the aforementioned three. Also, how many times must a soldier in battle get stabbed with a blade before he actually dies? Directors commentary holds keys to "The Story" and the "Origin of the Legend" MY First wonder, what will we see, King Arthur as #1a Missionary or #2- Mercenary?= a1.2 Arthur shares his nobility with unique constituencies in compassion to the proletariat; seemingly a special person on a mission from Rome. I found that Arthur's troubles maybe complex but he makes his decisions as we ride along. He worships alone yet if we want we can follow, to paint a scene from my memory (maybe not from the script) where a knight follows to question both his discern and to ask why Arthur always has to go pray or something, instead of directly discussing things with him, or with any of the other Russian knights. Now The details of this film with a little more for your synopsis need I will add ; first though the details of the DVD: King Arthur The Director's Cut DVD : 141 Minutes The Roundtable Discussion 15 min. gathers together seven of the principle filmmakers: screenwriter David Franzoni, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Antoine Fuqua, and cast members Keira Knightley, Ioan Gruffudd, Clive Owen, Hugh Dancy. "Blood on the Land: The Making of a King" (17:05) Also there are two endings! [1st NOTE TO THE MERIT OF THE VIEWER'S ] The constituent by ingredient is the legend, then with the facts added to levin this story into life. So can we simply abandon the legend? No!So there are going to be conflicts. Remember this for the entertainment value! Was it intuition or acting in the days of silent film? I think if we have a Real True King Arthur here, and even if we have the best acting performances here, we must also rely on more. A little dry or testy for a full length film? Do I have some psycobiographical unfamiliarity with U.K. films? I don't know! Is it over dramatic? No! [Subtle Synopsis] From The Introduction we are informed,"There is a legend that the spirit of a fallen knight will return to a horse in a time of battle; And a knight knows that the horse will protect him""(they are trained well), and this horse will know well the call of the battle. The plot detail built around the rescue mission. and I will add that the Saxons are invading as Arthur's return is to be in Rome. In Arthur's final battle he has joined forces with his former resisting force, a "Woad" band who some sources say as another name for "Picts"; to battle the immediate common enemy. My (Self Help Table) Since we do have do deal with a manufactured element to the true information of myth and of legend, the following quote I've found to be good medicine~!~ A note of an auther Joseph Campbell's, "The real King Arthur might have been but the heroic mythical journey of the literary Arthur still has great relevance today". Campbell's contributions to the study of both myth and the legend of King Arthur hold a direct part of influence to bringing these characters into life. 1 Truth; Campbell says "The literary Arthurs have great relevance to today's truths."This is just one Arthur,and a movie about his life in one small episode. Grasping "Truth or Legend" out of.., A STORY, thats the real truth!

Some scholars believe Ambrosius Aurelianus, the son of Vortigern and “the Last of the Romans,” and Arthur were one and the same. Even this is a time-line stretch. If the film ending battle was the Battle of Mons (or the Battle of Badon) which is buried in myth and legend then the there is a time problem. Loved It
I really liked the Directors Cut of King Arthur because the extra footage fills in some gaps that weren’t explained in the original release. Clive Owen rules as the Roman Legiion commander Arthur and Keira Knightley is great as the pagan love interest, Guinevere. All in all, it’s a bloody great romp through medieval legend.
