    You'll like it, unless you're using a BTL amp

    For what it cost, it is surprisingly good quality. One word of warning though, I opened it up and saw that all the (-) connections were commoned up, only the (+) connections were switched. Don't use this with a BTL amp like most of the small desktop amps, especially the new Class D ones, or you will damage the amp. I replaced the switches with DPDT ones and rewired the switchbox to switch both (+) and (-).

    works for my purpose, but...

    this splitter was easy to figure out and install. my knock on it is that one of the spring-loaded tabs broke the first time i pressed it to insert a speaker wire. i was able to rig it so the connection was solid, but still, it is brand new and it broke! Great Chinese quality; not. otherwise it is a pretty simple product and works for my purpose.

    Why Switch?

    Well built little switch box. Using it downstairs in my shop to switch from indoor to outdoor speakers. I thought the price was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it has been ten years since I bought my last one and the price was competitive with no shipping.

    Good basic speaker switcher for the cost.

    Connected it up and have been enjoying the convenience of selecting either garage, patio or both sets of speakers. Only negative is that I wish the spring clamp terminals were stronger springs. But they are holding adequately so far.
