Genuine British Humor
John Lennon 1966. He wrote his controversial song "Strawberry Fields" while filming this movie in Spain for Richard Lester who directed the first two Beatles movies. The movie seems intent on showing the futility of war set in a WWII desert atmosphere. All the innuendo and comedy are definitely 1960's British tongue-in-cheek humor which to most Americans is pretty hard to follow along with the meaning of some of the imagery of that period but it is an awesome art piece well worth the time to watch.
