Embassy Valet James Mason $elling $ecrets......World War 2 ~ 5 STARS
PLOT: British Valet sells secrets to the Nazis. 1944 Turkey...the British Embassy has Valet Diallo (excellent James Mason)has LEARNED the combination of the SAFE that has all the "top secrets plans" and he soon films some of them and ends up at the German Embassy offering to "sell them" to the Nazis. Soon Diallo is RICHER by 30,000 British Pounds Sterling. The scheme is TO collect as much as possible and then head to South America. Daiallo is both smart and clever. He "recruits" his former employer the "down and out" lovely Countess Anna .(Danielle Darrieux)...who has lost her wealth and living in a tiny modest dumpy apartment. Diallo offers her half the money if she helps with him. Soon Anna has a new home complete lavish parties. The home is ... PLOT: British Valet sells secrets to the Nazis. 1944 Turkey...the British Embassy has Valet Diallo (excellent James Mason)has LEARNED the combination of the SAFE that has all the "top secrets plans" and he soon films some of them and ends up at the German Embassy offering to "sell them" to the Nazis. Diallo and Anna are sooner 130,000 richer but Anna has a "scheme' of her own she double crosses Diallo and flees to Switzerland with the money. Now boxed in a corner Diallo takes one last big gable and removes one last set of papers...but the new "alarm" on the safe goes off when he "returns" the papers to the safe....he heads off with both the Nazis and the Brits hot on his heels. He jumps a train and uses the Nazis following him to keep the Brits at bay. James Mason is top notch as the debonair and handsome Diallo who is the trusted manservant and clever spy. This has yet another fun twist ending. BASED on real life spy Cicero. This has an excellent CAST and PLOT. Filmed in Turkey. It keeps you glued to from beginning to end. Fun World War 2 spy movie a MUST see.

Amazing movie, great quality for the money. Espionage thriller, from beginning to end.Film noir at it's very best ! What a ride, it will keep you at the edge of your seat,from beginning to end...You just can't beat this Classic .
