It is cheap, it came fast and the 'other' product I actually bought it for hasn't made it to me. So I can't rate it on function yet but given how simple it is I can't imagine having problems with it save if it doesn't work at all. Bought it for those mobile viewers that DON'T have a memory card slot for playing movies and shows on the go. Local Gov TV seriously sucks and I like having my movies on a small Flash drive or SD card. This puppy solves that problem! Even have a 5v battery bank for it!

Did fix it to work better and surprisingly there is a shaft from the pad to prevent the problem. Problem is still the shaft isn't long enough and the contacts are too sensitive. Problem solved with about 5 small squares of gruella duct tape under said shaft. Perfect? No but it's possible to push diagonal now and I believe the drift now is more hardware/software as the direction you pointed first get priority over new direction commands even after the contact is broken as you go to the new dir.

If a person has a vast video library of over a thousand DVDs, the content can be digitized on to flash drives for travel portability. This is the ideal media player with an outstanding HDMI quality! It can play a wide variety of files and the remote control navigation is fast and easy to use. Ideal for a video or music library and takes less space than a bulky DVD player.

The product works as advertised. The item appears to be somewhat old as it's from 2013 but still works for the various movie and image formats on a USB stick as appearing in the specs. One somewhat irritating issue is that the blue LED power light remains "on" even after the power is "off" and the power supply (when connected to the unit) still seems to dissipate about 1 Watt of power when it's "off". An easy fix of course is to connect it to a separate power strip with an on / off switch which I have done. The product works as advertised.
