The capacitor and wire wasn’t soldered to the potentiometer. And it’s a solder less kit. I understand why they don’t take returns. Because the battery plug doesn’t have any way to get into a box. And they responded “just put the battery in the hole with the wires and potentiometer’s.

All kits are tested before shipping and this one was fine. We allow returns on defective items. Buyer doesn't know what he's doing. Wanted to modify kit for a battery box, but has NO skills to do so. We recommended taking his guitar to a pro for the mods he wanted to make but couldn't do himself. EMG has been putting batteries in the control cavity since the beginning. Buyer is clueless and shouldn't be working on guitars. Buyer wanted to blame someone for his faults, so lucky us...
