Even boat cables need lubricated from time to time. The manufacturer of my outdrive says to just replace the shift cable. That's a lot of work and a good chunk of change. I think that with this cable luber from i5motorcycle, I can pop the cable off at the shift linkage at the motor and shoot some lube down the cable to the problem area at the outdrive. For the price that i5motorcycle wants for this cable luber it's worth a try. Thanks i5motorcycle for good price and fast shipping.

    Cable Lubricator

The seal isn’t perfect but, it does work and it’s very well made. The throttle on my ZRX1200R was sticking badly and in about 15 minutes it was working like it was brand new again.

  • Top critical review

    Poorly made design copy.

My previous lube tool worked great, but this one just leaks very badly wasting expensive lubrication fluid, and doesn't get lube down the cable. Does not seal around the inner cable as it should. It's either a poor copy or very bad quality control during it's manufacture. Junk and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

  • Great idea.

This tool is a great solution too sticking cables and it worked as intended for my brake line. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is I wish it would seal just a little bit better. But it did the job for me.

  • It works.

This tool does work. With that being said as others say it does make a mess. But it does get enough lube in the line to make it work. All you do is grab an old towel and wrap it around the tool then do it. It could seal better for sure but then again the world isn’t perfect.

  • Rubber tubing leaks

Works and looks high quality but when used the lubricant sprays out of the rubber boot every time, even when tightened to the max (5 tries). See no reason that the cable would be plugged. Dripped it into the cable (old method) and eventually the lubricant oozed out of the other end (clutch cable).
