This album really marks a turning point for Sonic Youth in which they took their dive beautifully into the realm of alternative and experimental rock. Signified by haunting melodies and groundbreaking movements by Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo alike, this is truly a must-have for anyone interested in Sonic Youth. And listening to Star Power which I feel is really a remarkable song so much so that many bands following have revolved their sound around it, it really is an understatement to mark this album as very good, or exceptional. Music to stimulate your mind.
If you are a Sonic Youth fan or you like punk rock music then this is a good CD to buy. It is very good from start to finish. some music groups put alot of songs on their CD's that are hard to listen to over and over. That is not the case with this CD. I found myself wanting to listen to this CD and explore the music.
