I had to go to the hardware store to buy an adapter because the device came with one that would not fit my one inch hose, probably the most common type. My pump moves 800 gpm but the spout is wide so the spillway is not impressive. I had to tip the filter to one side to make reasonable turbulents. The filter needed two large rocks to hold it in place. Might work for a larger pond but mine is 1000 gal. Would not buy again
