    A Treasure!

    The Boat is Full is a wonderful little movie about a small Swiss town and band of refugees who are fleeing Nazi Germany. The refugees consist of an old jewish man, woman, young girl, a french child as well as a awol German Soldier. They temporarily find solace in the small town with the help of an Innkeeper's wife. Her husband though, in order to follow the rules, contacts the local police to handle the situation, but then regrets his actions and decides to help the group. The town slowly becomes involved as the groups identity desperately tries to be kept concealed. It is quite interesting to watch as their plan slowly unwinds, and how the the town handles such situations. Down the smallest detail, from the eating food and rationing at the time to the complacency of normally good ...
