    If you want to lose weight and understand the reasons you are losing, this is the book for you. There are detailed reasons for every biological system process associated with your weight loss. This may not excite everyone but for me it made the difference, knowing why my body was responding and for what reasons. I am feeling great, my blood sugar has dropped to normal (not diabetic) numbers, and I am following the food plans outlined in this book. My cholesterol and triglyceride numbers have also dropped to normal levels. I have been on the plan for 5 months and plan on using it for a lifestyle change for life. You can't go wrong if you follow the plan, keep track of daily food amounts, and track your blood sugars. I have no ill side effects from following the plan, but, it's up to each ...

    this is actually the 3rd time i have bought this book...dont know where the others went! anyway! this is a great book especially for anyone with metabolic disease and insulin resistance such as myself. similar diet to adkins. the book is much more in depth but easy to read. has sections on how to calculate your protein needs. menu plans and a basic calorie counter section in the back. it really does work. helped me lose about 20lbs a few years ago and allowed me to stop having to check my blood sugar
