    Let me start off saying this was simply temporary but if I were going to use it long-term I would add a piece of plywood and extend the port and bring the tuning frequency down and it might be okay for an entry level sub that's 1,000 Watts RMS Max probably more like 800 Watts to be my suggestion. I'm running an XFL in it and putting 3,000 Watts to the sub and it's just ripping the box apart. So if you extend the port and get something like a P3 you should be good.
