  • I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH THIS BOOK

    My husband & I met Oscar Brown in L.A. & spent quality time with this genius; we're musicians too but never got to work with him. Still, I'm very thankful that Oscar's family helped get the final production of this book out just as he was leaving the world in 2005. What I love most is this book includes all of Oscar's old classics word 4 word, plus many more recent pieces. It has A Ladies Man, Hazels Hips, Signifying Monkey, But I Was Cool, Dat Dere & it also has Afro Blue (which I hadn't realized he had written), Then there are also newer pieces like Children of Children, which you should pull up on You Tube. Oscar Brown Jr was a treasured legend in my life. I met him first when I was 10 & my dad produced a show & flew him into New York from Chicago to do it. I later met him another 2 ...
