About this product

Product Information

Compose your shots accurately with the Leica M3 camera, which combines a rangefinder and viewfinder in one. The large and bright viewfinder of this 35 mm rangefinder camera has a magnification of 0.91x, giving you a wide coverage of the scene. With shutter speeds from 1-1/1,000 seconds, this Leica film camera lets you clearly capture moving subjects. The Leica M3 35 mm rangefinder camera uses interchangeable lenses, providing the flexibility to shoot various scenes. Featuring TTL metering, which measures light using a built-in meter, this Leica film camera eliminates the need for a separate, hand-held meter.

  • leica m3

The Leica M3, what can you say about this fabulous camera, well lets start with the build quality, no plastic here just solid material, just get one in your hands and you will know what I mean, smooth wind on and whisper quiet shutter, beautiful viewfinder, then there are the lenses, now if you have this camera you will have to have the f2 50mm Summicron probably the best lens ever made, again no plastic and who needs auto focusing when you have a brilliant rangfinder.I could go on and on about the Leica M3 but if you want a camera to last you a life time this is the camera for you, so try Ebay there are plenty available thats were I purchased mine.

  • Fully mechanical, nice and heavy, which feels so good

for a leica user, m3 is a must-have item. it functions fully mechanically, so it does not take battery. as it was made half a century ago, so there are only few that are in perfect shape... anyways, it was first m model leica introduced, and it is wonderful. but i would not recommend it to beginners, because the viewfinder and the image it takes shows a little difference in framing, and you need to measure the light/exposure with additional device. anyways, it is greaT for me.

  • classic Leica

M3 double stroke is a classic film leica range finder; great particularly for 50mm focal length lenses with large viewfinder. no light meter, fully mechanical and definitely not difficult to load IMO.

  • Fantastic Camera

Much easier to use than my Leica iiic. Great German engineering. The TTArtisan 35mm is surprisingly sharp for the cost.
