  • Decent but not great

Batman Forever Val Kilmer takes over as Batman and does a pretty good job. Batman Forever also introduces Chris O'Donnel as Robin. The villains are pretty cool (The Riddler and Two-Face) and the actors that play them do an admirable job. Although a little too cartoony for me, I enjoyed this movie. The only problem I have with Batman Forever is that it gets old fast. Overall it's a decent Batman movie, but it's nothing spectacular. Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: Batman Forever is a must buy, it gets old fast, but it's the kind of movie you can rewatch every month or so without getting bored. IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. Thank you.

  • What were you thinking Warner Bros.?

This was a major turning point for the "Batman" franchise, and it was not a good turning point to say the least. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't as bad as the movie it preceded(Batman & Robin), but it paled in comparison with the work Tim Burton did in "Batman" and "Batman Returns". Joel Schumacher was selected to make a new Batman movie that was more family friendly and nowhere near as dark as Burton's movies. The result was a bad script, a different less fit for the role actor playing Batman, and a lot of corniness and nostalgia taken from the 60s Batman that Tim Burton did so much work to keep out of his movies. If you are under 12, I'd say watch it and you'll love it. Otherwise, I'd say to go with Batman Begins from Christopher Nolan or one of the first two from Tim Burton.

  • Batman Forever

This was probablly the last good Batman movie before the Nolan series began in 2005 with Batman Begins. The movie was at times a bit cheesy and a tad corny aside from that the action was pretty good the a acting was pretty good as well. I must say Jim Carrey stole the show as the Riddler. I have never been a big fan of Robin and with him making his debut in the movie that was what probablly kept me from fully enjoying the movie as he always seems to hold Batman back. The movie while not as great as Batman Returns in my opinion the movie was still very much enjoyable and I woule overall do reccomend seeing it if you are a big Batman fan or comic book fan.

  • good movie

In this third installment to the 90s grouped series of the Dark Kight, the battle fronts for both Batman and his villians are getting bigger and bigger. After two Batman films, michael Keaton has retired the cape and passed it on to Val Kilmar. Val is able to really personalize the character of Bruce Wayne, the supporting ego of Batman. From a freak accident at the Gotham City Circus Tent, the mother and father of the trapeeze act have been brutally killed by Harvey Two-Face(Tommy Lee Jones), the youngest of the boys, Richard Garyson,(Chris O'Donnell) attaches himself to Bruce after Bruce invites him to live at the Wayne Estate, having no family to run to. Thus the alter ego of Richard is born - Robin. That's not all. An obesssive, repulsive Edward Enigma(Jim Carrey) wants Bruce to be his ...

  • Really? Thats the way they went...

I liked this movie when I was younger just because it was a Batman film. I've owned it on VHS and original DVD release. Now I have the 2 disc edition as part of the Batman Film Anthology DVD set. I have seen it recently and its not nearly as good as I thought it was before. It is cheesy at times and the acting of Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones doesn't really fit. But it is a Batman movie and if your'e a fan, you've probably seen it also and have similar feelings.
