    A Quiet Strength by Janette Oke

    I had read the other books in the series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this book! I love this author's style and sense of character. She knows what's important in life (to love and to live for our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ) and sets out to portray it in a down-to-earth manner. It's excellent clean reading.

    A really great read!

    I didn't realize it until I was in the middle of it that it has some of the same characters as the Love Comes Softly Series. But their roles weren't pivotal so it didn't seem to matter. I did enjoy the book in fact it was the first Janette Oke book I have read besides the Love Comes Softly Series. It was a fun read.

    Good Lessons.

    My favorite part of the book was pages 224-228. Virginia sees things in a new light. She shows the sincerity of prayer, a truly repentant heart, and becomes grateful for what at first seemed more like burdens to her! If this was the whole book I would have rated it Excellant...it truly touched me by the words and perceptions she speaks and starts to realize!

    Virginia finds strength within to cope with trials

    I love that the main characters take in a shy scared little girl, who's mother leaves her behind. They care for her and guide her, molding her into a confident, caring family member.
