A great great double bill for fans of Sherlock Holmes as portrayed by the legendary Basil Rathbone. Attractively packaged and excellent film quality make this a good deal. Best of it all is that these two features rank as the creepiest of the lot with terrific atmosphere, a coffin load of red herrings and perhaps the best monster heavy of them all: Rondo Hatton alias THE CREEPER. Classic Sherlock Homes and Dr.Watson
Basil Rathbone as Holmes gives the best ever characterization of the role and all of the supporting actors help further the idea that Holmes was a real person, as many to this day believe.
