    Totally not worth the money.

    I purchased this Vu Point hand held scanner as a means to scan documents, photos, and such when I was not near my computer, or when the medium would not fit on my flatbed scanner. The scanner is cheaply made,, provides very little in the way of instruction, and is basically hard to use. I have never gotten the product to work, and it should be very straight forward and simple. The scanner has a very small LED screen and one button on it. From what instructions I was able to read, this one little button must provide an entire host of functions. The USB cord to connect the scanner to a computer fits into the port very loosely, and is probably not making contact with the computer's port. It would never appear in This PC, or Computer as a connected drive. I would never purchase this ...

    Vu Magic II works well.

    Has good resolution, easy to use, I really like it. Battery life gets used up quick on large volume jobs, keep spares handy.

    Easy to use and portable and runs on 2 double A batteries

    This is easy to use. Just insert a SD micro card and PRESS the power button. When you want to scan a document or picture. Just PRESS the SCAN button and slide the scanner from top to bottom of what you are scanning. Then afterwards, take the micro sd card and view on ACROBAT PDF software. I like this item. But the new MAGIC WAND 3 has wifi connection.

    I love my VuPoint PDS -ST441-VP Scanner

    I purchased the VuPoint PDS-ST441-VP Scanner "used". I really love it. To get to the scans from your PC, simply with a USB cable plugged into your computer. It is convenient with the plug n' play process-just like a memory stick and nothing to install. It is compatible with my Windows 8 laptop. Mine did not come with a USB cable (purchased used and no software). I had several basic USB cables in my stash that were compatible. While scanning simply ensure that the data/item being scanned is within the lines on each end of the wand. Color scans look great. I believe you can use up to a 32GB memory card. Wish I had purchase this sooner. I am sure there are much better ones out there, but this one serves my purpose-simple scanning whenever I need them.

    Great Scanner

    It is lightweight and has a carrying case. You can scan in PDF and JPG. I definitely recommend this scanner.
