Steve Gaines was originally one of the lead guitarists of legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Steve featured heavily on Lynyrd Skynyrd's material and played and wrote on all of their best-selling albums. Following the fatal plane crash which took most of the bands lives, Skynyrd regrouped a few years later. Steve however, left his own legacy in the form of two solo albums'One In The Sun' is his most famous solo album and had not been available for over twelve years, until the first reissue from Cherry Red, and we are now delighted to announce this long overdue re-press. This album is a must for all Skynyrd/Southern rock fans everywhere and it will certainly follow previous Lemon successes of a similar ilk, such as 38 Special and The Rossington Band. The package contains all original sleeve artwork plus bonus sleevenotes.

    One in the Sun by Steve Gaines of Lynyrd Skynrd

    Of course didn't know anything about Steve Gaines until his joining Skynyrd. Wow what a difference he made to them. He took my favorite band and made them so much better with his playing, songwriting, and singing ability. He launched them to the stratosphere of stardom IMHO. So when I discovered he had a solo album I had to have it. Being a guitar player myself I had to see where Steve's roots were coming from. I knew he had his own band called the Crawdaddy's (I believe was the name) but wasn't aware of a recording until after the plane crash. Took me awhile to get it but I finally have. Love it, right up there with my favorites. Great job to everybody on this recording.

    Found a Treasure

    Never knew alot about Steve Gaines prior to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Didn't know he had a solo album. So when I saw this I had to get it just out of curiosity. This album is awesome, I wish he had the chance to make more. Well worth whatever the purchase price is!
